We are getting closer to the end of 2018, and as we say goodbye to some lovely floral trends of this year (blush and peonies will always be in our hearts), we are ready to look ahead to the future and the inspiring trends that await us. Below are some major floral trends we will definitely be encountering in 2019.
Pale and Monochromatic
We will likely see less pastels in 2019, but that doesn’t mean that the classic white and ivory will be out for your florals. Bunches of white lend an air of sophistication and beauty and can be a perfect palette cleanser in a wedding full of color. This bouquet also goes well with metallics for a more glam wedding.
Greenery
We have already seen sneak peeks of this trend this past summer, but stand-alone greenery is still a relatively new idea for bridal bouquets. This next year, we are moving into darker forest greens with a more waxy finish to give off more shine. Just like a monochromatic white bouquet, this style can help balance a colorful bohemian wedding or a glamorous wedding brimming with metallics.
Purple
The Pantone Color of the year 2018 is Ultra Violet, meaning purples are coming up in the world of weddings. In a bouquet, you can mix different shades of violet together or use purple as an accent color to balance your other colors. Whatever you decide to do, just remember that purple is the new pink.
Bright Colors
While very much on the opposite side of the spectrum than a monochromatic or green bouquet, a colorful one adds a spark of life into your wedding decorations. These bright and cheery pinks, reds, oranges, yellows, blues and purples are replacing the pastels of 2017 and 2018. Balance these bright colors with simple finishes and details.
Unique Florals and Textures
This style has been a bit of a whisper in 2018 but will come out fully shouting in 2019. A delightful mix of unique florals (like protea and thistles with daisies and roses) and a broad variety of plant textures keeps your wedding looking relaxed, different, and fresh.
