Meet Rachel Elizabeth
Learn More About Rachel
Realizing her dream was in fashion design and not costuming, Rachel chose to move to California. Moving was the biggest decision of her life but proved to be the best, feeling immediately at home in her new school, the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. Studying at FIDM gave Rachel the chance to refine her skills and become the designer she is today.
Graduating magna cum laude from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, Rachel then continued her education moving to London and studying under one of London’s couture designers, Tatiana Porembova. Rachel assisted Tatiana in designing one of a kind gowns and executing designs with hand sewing, pattern cutting, and machine construction.

Sharon was born and raised in Europe and moved to the USA in 1986 with her American-born husband. Having lived all over the USA, she moved to Utah in 2002. She began sewing as a teenager and as a young adult made ball gowns, the British versions of prom dresses, and custom apparel for special events, like The Henley Regatta. Sharon started making wedding dresses for family and friends, and for herself in the 1980s. She has over 40 years of experience sewing as well as an associates degree in dressmaking. She has been working for Rachel Elizabeth since the business opened and has the added pleasure of being Rachel’s Mum.
Assistant Designer and Consultant
Maren was raised in Northern California and currently attends BYU, where she is studying family and consumer sciences education. She has had an interest in fashion design since she was a little girl and hopes to eventually design clothes herself one day. Working with Rachel Elizabeth has been a very enjoyable and educational experience. Together, she and Rachel designed Maren’s wedding dress which she wore when she married her husband, Mitchell, in 2017. She enjoys reading, sewing, cooking, watching scary movies, running and hiking.
Hannah was born and raised in Utah and is the eighth child out of eleven. Hannah has always loved everything bridal gowns and weddings; she became interested in working in the industry after watching her first episode of Say Yes to the Dress. Her favorite part of working at Rachel Elizabeth Designs is helping brides discover their dream dress and helping make that dream become a reality! When Hannah’s not working she enjoys running, hiking, going to concerts and eating pasta!
